Cosmetic Gel Packaging Solutions
Liquipak was contracted by a customer in the cosmetic industry to co-engineer cosmetic gel packaging of single use sample packets of a cosmetic gel. Our in-depth material and process knowledge allowed us to develop a more esthetic seal for these cosmetics packets.
Per customer specifications, a package configuration was developed and the necessary tooling was fabricated. Filling utilized our vertical form-fill-seal packaging equipment and plastic and foil laminated packaging film. The packets, which measured 4-1/2″ in length by 2″ in width had a filled weight of 7.5 g (± 0.5 g), and were produced in a quantity of 25,000 for that initial production run.
The packaging film was surface printed and had an abrasion resistant UV coating applied. These packets featured a side spout configuration with a tear notch and a lot code. Our quality procedures include digital test stand compression testing, digital gram-scale weigh testing, component and batch traceability, labeling and product accountability, and AQL final inspection.
